Riva del Garda Fierecongressi Spa has always been a company committed to sustainability. In 2014, we were granted ISO 20121 Sustainable Event Management certification, officially recognising the sustainability of our services.
Today, our event management follows the sustainability values of Riva FC and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, through a collaborative system involving our internal team, selected suppliers and stakeholders.
We implement initiatives and projects that promote alternative, low-impact mobility, focusing in particular on the travel habits of our staff and clients.
We are committed to reducing plastic use by offering biodegradable products at refreshment areas and vending machines, installing mains-connected water dispensers, and encouraging the use of reusable bottles.
We adhere to the Food for Good project, promoted by Federcongressi&Eventi in collaboration with Equoevento and Banco Alimentare, involving the recovery of surplus food from events and its subsequent donation to local charities.
We oversee waste collection and sorting at every stage of the event. We also involve schools and associations to raise awareness among younger generations on environmental issues.
We monitor compliance with contractual obligations by our suppliers, who are selected primarily from local businesses, taking specific action in the event of non-compliance.
ITAS Forum is a multifunctional building located in the “Le Albere” district, in Trento. Its architectural design and interior spaces were developed using high-performance materials, both technically and in terms of energy efficiency.
Every design choice focused on maximising indoor well-being through the use of controlled ventilation technologies and radiant heating and cooling systems.
Riva del Garda Fierecongressi has been publishing a Sustainability Report since 2016, sharing the results of its commitment with stakeholders in line with GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) Standards. The document reflects the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility, focused on strategic goals such as impact assessment, managing ESG challenges, worker health and safety, and the sustainability of its supplier management system.
This fifth edition, covering the 2023–2024 period, outlines the progress made and the challenges ahead. The renewal of the Sustainable Event Management System (UNI ISO 20121) in 2023 further strengthened the company’s commitment to a business model that prioritises people, the environment and the community.
The strategic objectives are closely aligned with the UN 2030 Agenda SDGs, which promote sustainable development in the economic, environmental and social spheres.
Riva del Garda Fierecongressi S.p.A. is the official operator of Trentino’s exhibition and conference centre. The company’s mission is “to support and promote the local economy through the development of exhibition and conference activities,” with a particular focus on generating economic impact in the Alto Garda area through the direct or third-party organisation of trade fairs and conferences within the exhibition complex and convention centre.
